Quilt Makers on Island

17 Jun

If you have been trying to refresh your concepts about quilting you can get a major dose of ideas from dedicated quilters who get sparks from the Big Island atmosphere.
Many quilters will be gathering from all directions of the globe for the Quilt Hawaii Conference at Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort from June 30 to July 4th. They are also doing around the island tours. Featured instructors are Faye Labanaris and Ellen Peters along with ten others. For more you can visit their web site at

Artists with Vitality

23 Dec

So much is happening on the Big Island over the holiday season. I’m posting the events at Living Arts Gallery. This covers what they are offering up to January 15th.

It is worth the trip to go there and meet and enjoy the vitality of their artist group.  I wish I lived closer or had a magic carpet ride.

Enjoy!! Mars

Cement Art ?#?

25 Sep

Nora Yamanoha is showing some of the ideas that are coming from the students in the classes at Donkey Mill in Holualoa.  Jump down two entries and I’ve given the details for those who want to get into these classes which are starting. No problem if you see this late. They will find time to help you catch up. Just gotta be ready to get your hands into the mushy wet stuff and enjoy like you did when you were a kid.
