This is a new venue, the South Kona Green Market in Captain Cook at the Amy Greenwell Garden, just opposite the Big Island Art Farm and Manago Hotel. Time: 9:00 to 2:00. There are many artists who set up their easels and plenty of their work which is, of course, for sale. The fun is that you can hang out there, learn from them, soak up the music and taste the food and drinks in a wonderland environment. It feels so friendly that most people come to get a taste of what community really should be; lots of sharing. The market is, first of all, bringing the farmers and their products to the public. There is a huge overlap of sensitivity. I see that people who care about the land and what they want for food also care about what they create in the way of artistic clothing, furniture, and all that we use and enjoy. Their web site will give you specific names an web site links. Click on the name above.
Come and meet the community of super people. I’ll be there giving out copies of Big Island Arts Annual.
